Working From Home

Most businesses are very reticent to allowing people to work from home. If it something that you would like to do then it is important that you look at it from the perspective of your employer, and then hopefully you will better understand their position if or when they say no. From their perspective, they are sacrificing a lot of their control over your workload, and trusting that you are being honest about what you’ve accomplished, and how long it took you. Most people who make the jump over to working from home find it very difficult to maintain their momentum when it comes to working. This is not surprising, as most people depend upon the motivation and discipline that comes from working on a team and depending on each other. Of course, there are exceptions to this, and some people actually find it easier to work from home. The benefits of working from home are readily apparent, but often what you think are benefits actually end up becoming burdensome, making work difficult.
