So what does it take to be a good administrator?

Firstly it’s essential that you are able to work as part of a team as usually if you are dealing with an application style process it’s rare that you will deal with each client entirely from start to finish, it is therefore important to be able to communicate effectively with your colleagues to allow a smooth seamless process.

You will also need to be able to work well as an individual and use your initiative when it comes to planning your work and prioritising items in your workload as necessary.

A good knowledge of systems such as Word, Excel and SAGE will also be an advantage in most administrative roles so it’s really worth getting to grips with these and adding them to your CV to ensure the best chance possible of getting your desired job.
