In the UK the beauty industry is thriving and looking for a job within your chosen area can be widely based search especially in urban areas where there are vast amounts of spas, salons and nail bars in close proximity.

When conducting your search it’s important to ask yourself what sort of business you’d ideally want to work for, considering pay levels, progression prospects and the day to day role that you would be carrying out and see what would suit your career plans the best.

Once you apply for a position you will most likely be asked to do a trade test where you will be expected to demonstrate your practical skills through a number of treatments. This can be very nerve racking so my advice would be to get plenty of practice so that you are confident and can demonstrate your best work under pressure.

Ensure that you attend the interview smartly dressed, ideally in a beauty standard uniform, with neat low-key make up and nails and with long hair tied back off your face.
